Presidential Adviser Sergei Dubik participated in the fourth meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Anti-Corruption Academy.
The Board of Governors meeting engaged in a detailed discussion concerning preparations for the 2nd session of the Assembly of Parties to the Agreement for the Establishment of IACA as an International Organisation (Bangkok, December 9–11, 2013). The Assembly coincides with International Anti-Corruption Day, which is observed every year on December 9, in accordance with a decision by UN member states.
Members of the Board of Governors agreed on the Academy’s work programme for 2014–2016 and its budget for 2014. An important segment of the programme is the Academy’s research on corruption matters, including assessment of the level of corruption throughout the world.
The meeting participants noted the high level of cooperation between the Academy, Russian governmental agencies and civil society institutions in countering corruption.
The International Anti-Corruption Academy is an international organisation. Fifty-three nations and international organisations signed the agreement on its establishment, and 49 of them, including the Russian Federation, became full-fledged members.
