Meeting on issues of developing bandy in Russia

March 16, 2016, Moscow

Presidential Aide and Deputy Chairman of the Council for Development of Physical Culture and Sport Igor Levitin held a working meeting on developing bandy in Russia.

The meeting addressed regional aspects of developing this sport, which were discussed at a February 18, 2016 meeting between Vladimir Putin and representatives of Russia’s national bandy team, which won gold medals in the world championship.

Participants in the discussion included deputy Russian Sports Minister Yury Nagornykh, Governor of Krasnoyarsk Territory Viktor Tolokonsky, Governor of Irkutsk Region Sergei Levchenko, Governor of Moscow Region Andrei Vorovyov, President of the International Bandy Federation Boris Skrynnik and others.

The results of the work will be used to prepare a report for the meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports scheduled for April 2016.
