Vladimir Putin congratulated Russia’s rhythmic gymnastics team on their victory in the overall team count at the 2017 World Championships in Pesaro.
The message reads, in part:
“Your talent, sense of purpose, unity and hard work brought you outstanding success at the 2017 World Championships. Your memorable and emotional performances, abounding in difficult elements, once again demonstrated Russia’s absolute leadership in rhythmic gymnastics.
Of course, I particularly note the brilliant triumph of sisters Dina and Arina Averina, who brought the team ten medals, including five gold medals. Well done!”
