Vladimir Putin congratulated Alexander Denisyev and Vladislav Antonov on winning the doubles’ sprint event at the 2020 FIL World Luge Championships in Sochi.
The message reads, in part:
“You brilliantly opened the home World Luge Championships, having demonstrated the best result in the doubles’ sprint event. Your coaches, teammates as well as your fans believed in you – and you did not disappoint them, you withstood the fierce competition. You became the first representatives of the Russian national team to win this event at the world championships.”
