State Secretary – Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs Anna Kotova chaired a meeting of the Council for Cossack Affairs standing commission on the development of state policy regarding Russia’s Cossacks.
The results of the implementation of the Russian Federation Strategy for the Development of the State Policy on Russia’s Cossacks until 2020 as well as the implementation process of the Russian Federation Strategy for the Development of the State Policy on Russia’s Cossacks for 2021–2030 were discussed.
The participants in the discussion also examined the Russian Cossack Society’s activities to develop youth Cossack movement in the regions.
Taking part in the meeting were members of the Presidential Council on Cossack Affairs, representatives of the Russian Government’s Executive Office, the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs, regional executive bodies, the All-Russian Cossack Society, the Union of Cossack Warriors of Russia and Abroad and the Russian Orthodox Church.
Relevant instructions were issued based on the results of the meeting.
