Meeting of Commission for Disabled

Adviser to the President Alexandra Levitskaya chaired a regular meeting of the Commission for the Disabled.

Taking part in the meeting were representatives of federal and regional executive authorities, national public organisations for the disabled and specialised expert bodies.

The participants considered the main tasks and measures for organising an effective system for the rehabilitation of people with disabilities, increasing the availability and quality of rehabilitation and habilitation services, as well as developing the Abilympics movement as a form of rehabilitation for people with disabilities.

Reports were delivered by Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection Alexei Vovchenko, Deputy Healthcare Minister Yevgeny Kamkin, Deputy Defence Minister – Head of the Main Military and Political Directorate of the Armed Forces Colonel-General Viktor Goremykin, General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Svetlana Chupsheva, and representatives of supreme executive bodies of the Tyumen Region, Tatarstan and Buryatia.
