Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to Alexei Bugayev on winning the gold medal in the Para alpine men’s slalom competition for people with physical impairments at the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games.
The message reads, in part:
“By confidently and beautifully winning the slalom event, you have once again reaffirmed your prestigious champion title, while demonstrating refined skill, willpower, and character. We are sincerely proud of you and the entire Russian team, which achieved excellent results at the 14th edition of the Winter Paralympics.”
