President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed a plan to resolve the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict, based on the six principles previously agreed on

During a meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev told about the signing of the document agreed upon by the presidents of Russia and France on 12 August in Moscow.

On 14 August at a meeting with President of Russia in the Kremlin, the leaders of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, Eduard Kokoity and Sergei Bagapsh signed the plan, and on 15 August it was announced that the President of Georgia had signed the document.

The meeting reviewed the situation surrounding the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict and discussed post-conflict settlement and measures aimed at dealing with the consequences of a humanitarian disaster.
