“On September 9, 1948 a new sovereign state was formed on Korean soil, one that is geographically and historically closely connected with our country. During the decades since that momentous day we have accumulated a significant positive experience of cooperation and implemented many joint projects for the benefit of our peoples.
I am sure that the traditional friendly relations between our countries will continue to grow even further, making a significant contribution to ensuring peace, stability and security on the Korean peninsula and in Asia more generally“.
