Public evaluation of the draft law On Monitoring Spending

The draft federal law On Monitoring Spending has been published on the Open Government site for public evaluation of draft laws (zakon.government.ru).

In his December 22, 2011 Presidential Address to the Federal Assembly, Dmitry Medvedev proposed the idea of introducing a system to monitor spending by public officials at the various levels, including personal purchases of land, real estate, vehicles, securities and shares clearly out of keeping with their incomes.

The following draft laws have been drawn up in the aim of implementing this proposal: the draft federal law On Monitoring Spending; the draft constitutional law On Amendments to Article 10 of the Federal Constitutional Law On the Russian Federation Government and the draft federal law On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation following the Adoption of the Federal Law On Monitoring Spending.
