Mr Medvedev and Mr Nazarbayev spoke outside the church with parishioners, who thanked them for their support for the Orthodox community in Kazakhstan.
Mr Nazarbayev gave explanations to Mr Medvedev during the visit of the mosque, which has only just been completed. Mr Medvedev congratulated the Muslims of Kazakhstan on the new mosque’s opening.
