“It was with shock and sincere sympathy that Russia received the news of the tragedy that occurred on 23 September 2008 in a vocational school in the city of Kauhajoki – the message reads. I express my sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims and ask you to convey my words of support and wishes for a swift recovery to all those affected.”

Eleven people were killed and three wounded in a shooting at a school in the town of Kauhajoki.
