“Relations between our countries have been developing in all areas in accordance with the Russian-Japanese Action Plan adopted at the summit in 2003”, Mr Medvedev said in his message. “I am sure that our continued constructive work on the basis of this plan will enable us to take our bilateral relations to a new level and make them a truly trusting and mutually beneficial partnership, which is not only in our countries’ national interests but will also help to strengthen security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.”
