They discussed arrangements concerning the joining of two regions (the Kamchatka Region was formed on July 1, 2007 by joining the Kamchatka territory and the Koryak Autonomous District).
Dmitry Medvedev instructed the leadership of the Kamchatka Region not to reduce the level of social guarantees following the conclusion of work to join the two entities. The transition period for the formation of the Kamchatka Region ends on December 31, 2008.
The Governor also told the President about the restoration of the Tilichiki village that was affected by an earthquake in April 2006.
