Executive Order on Presidential Commission for Monitoring Progress towards the Socioeconomic Development Targets Set by the President of Russia

Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order on the Presidential Commission for Monitoring Progress towards the Socioeconomic Development Targets Set by the President of the Russian Federation.

The President has resolved to set a Presidential Commission for Monitoring Progress towards the Socioeconomic Development Targets Set by the President of the Russian Federation, and approved the Regulations and makeup of the Commission which is aimed at resolving socioeconomic development challenges in the Russian Federation.

In accordance with its Regulations, the Commission is a consultative and advisory body.

The Commission examines issues pertaining to progress in reaching the Russian Federation’s socioeconomic development targets, as determined by the President of the Russian Federation, as well as methods and steps for achieving them.

Besides, the Commission submits suggestions to the President of the Russian Federation on improving the national economic, social and demographic policy with the aim of ensuring that the Russian Federation’s socioeconomic development targets are achieved.

The Commission’s goals also include analysing the practice of implementing decisions on increasing salaries for public sector employees and changing over to new labour compensation mechanisms in federal constituent entities, sectors of the economy and organisations, taking into account the achievement of specific indicators in the quality and quantity of the services provided. Another goal is to assess the efficacy of measures aimed at resolving problems in the Russian Federation’s socioeconomic development.

The President of the Russian Federation serves as the chairman of the Commission.
