The federal law makes amendments to Article 14 of the law “On the Citizenship of the Russian Federation.”
The law provides for a simplified procedure for receiving citizenship (eliminating the requirements of a five-year period of continuous residence in the territory of the Russian Federation, the existence of a legitimate source of subsistence income and fluency in Russian) within the state programme to assist the voluntary resettlement of compatriots abroad in Russia.
