Vladimir Putin visited a new housing development in Krymsk, which is now home to families affected by the July 2012 floods.
Twenty-eight large apartment complexes have been built for families that were affected by flooding in Krymsk. The Hope housing development has three nine-story buildings with 370 apartments. Their yards have children’s playgrounds and parking places, and a complex is being built to house commercial premises, a bank office and a pharmacy. A pre-school and shops will be built at the largest housing development, Ozerki.
The President spoke with local residents who greeted him in the streets. Mr Putin promised that all remaining problems would be solved. The President noted the importance of finishing construction of social infrastructure projects and pre-schools, as well as completing compensation payments.
President Putin also announced that he would soon be holding a meeting with participation by the heads of relevant agencies on protecting the city from future natural disasters.
