Trip to Volgograd

Vladimir Putin has taken part in the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad.

Vladimir Putin visited the State Historical and Memorial Museum The Battle of Stalingrad on Mamayev Hill, where, accompanied by veterans, he laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame in the Hall of Military Glory. The President also laid a wreath at the Stele of Memory at the military memorial cemetery.

Later, Vladimir Putin attended a gala concert dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the victory in the  Battle of Stalingrad. The President congratulated the veterans on this significant date. The victory of the Soviet troops at Stalingrad is one of the greatest examples of heroism in history, Vladimir Putin said in his speech. This event will forever remain a symbol of national unity, the President said.

The President also visited the Volgograd State Panoramic Museum The Battle of Stalingrad. A meeting with Great Patriotic War veterans and members of the scouting teams, which took place at the museum, focused on teaching patriotic values to the young generation.
