The 3rd All-Russia Sociological Congress is being held 21–24 October 2008 in Moscow. It celebrates the 50 th anniversary of the establishment of the first sociological association and the 40 th anniversary of the first sociological institute in Russia. Sociologists from China, Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia and other countries are taking part in the Congress.
