At the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will examine the main areas for continued integration development in the Eurasian region. There will be an exchange of views on establishing the Eurasian Economic Union by January 1, 2015, including work on a draft treaty for the future body. A number of joint documents on trade, competition and organising the Eurasian Economic Commission’s work are also expected to be signed.
The CIS Council of Heads of State is set to discuss opportunities for developing trade and economic cooperation at its meeting, as well as law enforcement cooperation and expanding cultural and humanitarian ties, in particular the preparations for celebrating the 70th anniversary of Victory in the 1941–1945 Great Patriotic War and the declaration of 2014 as the Year of Tourism in the CIS.
