Meeting of the Russia-Belarus Union State Supreme State Council took place at the Kremlin.
The meeting discussed key issues of Russia-Belarus integration cooperation, prospects for further deepening of trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko met in narrow format.
A package of documents was signed following the Supreme State Council meeting.
The documents signed include interstate agreements on implementing a military technical cooperation program, on enhancing cooperation against corruption, and on cooperation in ensuring international information security.
The meeting of the Supreme State Council also approved 14 Union State documents, including, in particular, the 2014 budget, the plan for holding events to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in 2015 and the 70th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from Nazi invaders in 2014, and a program of coordinated foreign policy efforts for 2014–2015.
The two presidents also made press statements.
