In accordance with Paragraph d) of Article 84 of the Constitution of Russia, the President introduced a draft federal constitutional law amending the federal constitutional law “On the Government of the Russian Federation” to the lower house of parliament.

The bill seeks to implement the amendments to the Constitution of Russia to give the State Duma supervisory authority over the government cabinet. Under the bill, the cabinet provides the State Duma with annual reports on its performance. These reports must be officially published.
