Congratulations to leaders of CIS states, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and people of Georgia and Ukraine on the 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War

Vladimir Putin congratulated leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and people of Georgia and Ukraine on the 69th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

In his messages of greetings, Vladimir Putin stressed that the feat of our fathers and grandfathers who protected their homeland and the world for future generations is a heroic page of shared history, and the duty of state authorities is to preserve the historic truth about the events of the Great Patriotic War, to take care of the veterans and to foster among the younger generation an attitude of care for the eternal spiritual and moral values.

The President of Russia expressed confidence that our common memory of the Great Patriotic War shall always serve to strengthen friendship among peoples, to further develop constructive cooperation and to maintain regional stability and security.

Vladimir Putin expressed his gratitude to the Great Patriotic War veterans and wished them health and prosperity.
