Mr Medvedev’s message reads, in particular:

“I send my sincere wishes of peace and prosperity to the Georgian people, with whom we are bound by ties of friendship and spiritual closeness that go back many centuries.

I hope for constructive cooperation between our countries in the interests of developing good-neighbourly relations and strengthening stability and security in the Caucasus.”
