President Dmitry Medvedev expressed his condolences to Indian President Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over a series of terrorist attacks in Mumbai

The message said, in part:

“We are shocked and angry. We unequivocally condemn the horrible terrorist attacks in Mumbai. Inhumane terrorist attacks on hospitals, hotels and other public places aimed at killing civilians and hostage-taking are harmful to the whole civilised society. Those guilty should receive the most severe punishment. We support the actions of the Indian Government to stop terrorists.

I want to express our deepest condolences and sympathies to the families and friends of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to those who have been injured.”

On November 26, over 100 people were killed in a series of terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
