The message of congratulations reads, in part:
”The history of Tekhnomash is inextricably bound up with the history of the formation and development of the Russian missile and space industry. Excellent engineers, skilled designers and talented production managers have been involved in its work from the outset. They have always been ready to introduce new technologies and to make important contributions to strengthening Russia's defensibility and extending the scientific and technological capabilities of our country.
It is important that today the Tekhnomash team is continuing this remarkable tradition of hard work and takes an active part in the Russian and international space programmes and projects on the horizon”.
Since 1938 Tekhnomash has been the leading company for the production of artillery weapons technology, and it has been working on rocket and space technology since 1946.
The company participated in the creation of almost all domestic missiles, and a wide range of missile and space systems: Soyuz-Apollo, Salyut, Mir, Intercosmos and Energia-Buran.
