Dmitry Medvedev and President of Argentina Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner discussed various bilateral cooperation matters, in particular trade and economic and financial cooperation, and also international issues.

Mr Medvedev rated very highly the prospects for relations between Russia and Argentina and said that sectors such as agriculture, energy, peaceful nuclear energy, and the space sector are all very relevant for cooperation.

The Russian and Argentine Presidents adopted a joint declaration on strategic partnership. A package of agreements on bilateral cooperation in a number of different areas was also signed in the presence of the two Presidents.

Mr Medvedev and Mrs Fernandez de Kirchner made press statements following the talks.
