The President said that he would send a bill amending the Federal Law ”On the Main Guarantees of the Rights of the Child in the Russian Federation“ to the State Duma. The law outlines measures to prevent negative effects on the physical, spiritual and moral development of children as well as measures to prevent juvenile delinquency.

As part of an experiment the provisions of the bill have already been implemented in 15 federal entities. The Interior Minister said that the experiment's results showed a marked decrease in the number of youth crimes as well as crimes against children.
