Dmitry Medvedev held talks with Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega in the Kremlin

The heads of state discussed the prospects for a number of major economic projects, topical international problems, and the need to establish a multipolar basis for the development of international relations.

Following their talks Dmitry Medvedev and Daniel Ortega issued a joint declaration.

A package of documents on cooperation in space exploration, the use and development of the Russian GLONASS global navigation satellite system, energy, agriculture, education, science and innovation was signed in the presence of the heads of state.

After the talks the presidents of Russia and Nicaragua made press statements.
