The heads of state exchanged warm wishes for the New Year. In discussing the development of relations between Russia and Finland, which the President of Finland rated as “excellent,” Dmitry Medvedev expressed certainty that in the future, they will also be marked by close, constructive interaction. In this context, the presidents discussed plans for communication between Russia and Finland in 2009 at various levels, including at the highest level.
