President Putin urged German businessmen to get a foothold in the Russian market more actively. There are all conditions in Russia for a stable work and guaranteed high profits, he said. In some important respects business conditions there are better than in many other countries, and Russia’s tax legislation is already among the most liberal in Europe, he stressed.
In the presence of Mr Putin and Mr Schroeder several joint documents were signed, in particular an agreement between Russia’s Sberbank and Ausfuhrkredit Gesellschaft (AKA).
