The Russian President said he was satisfied with the results of the Russian-American Summit. However, he said the reluctance of the US Congress to ratify the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty and to lift the Jackson-Vanik amendment was a problem in bilateral relations.

However, as Mr Putin noted, the signed Strategic Offensive Reductions Treaty moves bilateral cooperation in the right direction. The Russian leader described the signing of the treaty as huge progress.
