During the meting, Mr Putin stressed that the international community had been watching the situation on the Indian-Pakistani border with great concern. The President said the latest statements by the Pakistani leadership concerning relations with India sounded optimistic. Mr Putin suggested discussing the ways of settling the conflict and preventing future confrontations.
The Russian President also stressed the good pace of high-level bilateral relations.
