The meeting discussed the general trends of development of the media in Russia, in particular, improving legislation regulating media activities, creating equal conditions for all media companies irrespective of their type of organisation, and consolidating media industry players to develop unified approaches to controlling the industry’s activities.
Attending the meeting were the Minister for Press, Television and Radio Broadcasting and Mass Communications Mikhail Lesin and heads of some federal and regional media companies.
