Mr Putin and Mr. Berlusconi discussed the implementation of bilateral projects that had been charted during the April 2002 Russian-Italian summit and subsequent top-level contacts.
Both leaders exchanged opinions on important international developments, including the situation in Iraq, and noted similar positions as regards the need for a political settlement of the Iraqi problem.
