The letter said, in part:

“India has scored impressive achievements in the economy, science and culture during the 55 years of independent development. India’s significant authority on the international scene has given it an important role in world politics.

“Relations between India and Russia are stable and making good progress, with political cooperation and strategic partnership growing. Our countries have laid a solid groundwork for the further development of fruitful cooperation and joint work on tackling the relevant issues of the modern world.”
