In his address the President outlined the basic priorities and objectives facing the Siberian Military District and the army in general. The main ones, the President said, were to preserve and enhance the combat ability of units and establishments, to practice the army’s joint actions with the Federal Border Service and other law enforcement units in the district, to organise precise coordination both between units and formations of the district and with neighbouring districts, and to reliably safeguard the state border.
The President also answered a question about Russian-Georgian relations.
