The letter said, in part:

“I am confident that the traditionally friendly relations between Russia and Chile will continue to develop successfully for the benefit of our countries and in the interests of strengthening peace and international security.

“At present there is every reason to give a boost to our relations, bringing them to a new, higher level. I am confident that our forthcoming meeting in Moscow will help broaden and deepen mutually beneficial Russian-Chilean cooperation.”
