The President thanked Akhmat Kadyrov for his support during the seizure of hostages at the Dubrovka Theatre Centre in Moscow and asked him to convey words of gratitude to all Chechen citizens who held rallies to condemn the terrorist attack. Vladimir Putin said that he relied on Chechnya’s assistance in the fight against terrorism. The sooner the problem of terrorism is solved, the earlier the situation in the republic is normalised, the President said.
President Putin said that he supported the continuation of anti-terrorist actions in Chechnya and stressed that all actions of the law-enforcement agencies must be strictly targeted.
