The official part of Mr Putin’s visit to India started with a welcome ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Palace).
After the ceremony, Mr Putin’s motorcade went to the Rajghat Memorial, where the President paid tribute to the memory of Mahatma Gandhi by laying a wreath at the eternal flame on the spot of his cremation. Mr Putin made an entry in the Visitors’ Book.
