President Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On Approving the Resolution on Holding a Referendum in the Chechen Republic on the Constitution of the Chechen Republic and Bills of the Chechen Republic 'On Election of the President of the Chechen Republic' and 'On Elections to Parliament of the Chechen Republic'.”

The administration of the Chechen Republic should work out measures on financial, material-technical and organisational support for the referendum within a month.

The Russian Central Election Commission will provide the necessary legal, methodological and organisational help to the Chechen Election Commission.
