Mr Putin asked about the health of Mrs Kolesnikova’s foster children, sent compliments to them and her husband and made best wishes for the New Year.
The President first met the family while on a visit to the Krasnoyarsk Region in spring 2002. They had 23 foster children at the time and later took in one more.
A house was built for the family on Mr Putin’s order.
