The President underlined the importance of completing the construction of a ring road and dykes around St Petersburg as soon as possible. Mr Putin stressed that the implementation of the projects would inject momentum into the economy of the entire Baltic region.
The President said that the Government had decided to allocate an additional $600 million for the purpose. Mr Cherkesov was responsible for the control over the funds and the construction project.
