Mr Putin and Mr Blair exchanged opinions on pressing international issues.
The Russian President told the British Prime Minister about the efforts being made for political and diplomatic settlement of the North Korean nuclear problem. They agreed that there were international legal channels for settling the issue.
Discussing the Iraqi problem, Mr Putin stressed the need to continue the work of international inspectors acting in accordance with the UN Security Council resolution.
