The telegram said, in part:

“The forum, which has gathered heads of the governing bodies of the EurAsEC and other CIS countries, is facing major tasks – to discuss topical issues of economic cooperation and outline ways of expanding it.

“I am convinced that the decisions and recommendations to be worked out by the Economic Forum will promote a success of multifaceted integration within the Community and give a positive impetus to the development of national economies and the formation of a common economic space. Above all, they will promote the further development of EurAsEC as a powerful and prestigious international economic organisation.”
