Mr Putin and Mr Bush exchanged opinions on important international issues. With regard to Iraq, both Presidents said they should be more active in the UN Security Council developing a plan of action which would meet the interests of the entire international community.
Touching upon the so-called Korean nuclear problem, both Mr Putin and Mr Bush confirmed they supported political and diplomatic measures to stabilise the situation.
Speaking of Russia-US relations in general, the two leaders emphasised their willingness to pursue the same policies and carry on the positive bilateral cooperation programme.
