The message said, in part:

“I was deeply struck by the tragedy that took place in a school in the Sydybyl village. What makes it worse is that children were the victims. I would be grateful to you if you would pass along my deep condolences and words of support to their parents.

“The Republic’s leadership and federal agencies must take all measures to provide assistance to the families of those who have suffered or were killed during the tragedy. The case must be thoroughly investigated to prevent the repeat of similar tragedies.”
