Mr Putin and Mr Parvanov exchanged views on the various aspects of bilateral cooperation and discussed plans for future contact at different levels.
They expressed satisfaction that political dialogue between the two countries became livelier following top-level Russian-Bulgarian negotiations on March 1–3, 2003.
Mr Parvanov warmly congratulated Mr Putin on the 300th anniversary of St Petersburg, stressing the international significance of the event.
