The meeting was held within the Year of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

The message reads in part:

“I think this meeting is most useful for the development of our countries’ legal systems and for the reliable functioning of the judicial authorities as a major state institution ensuring the observance and protection of human rights and freedoms.

I hope this meeting will help to improve coordination in the work of Ukrainian and Russian judicial authorities and to expand their interaction.”
