Mr Ivanov briefed the President about the preparations of his visit to the United States in September and a Russia-European Union summit in November. Mr Ivanov said that Russian and EU representatives had begun discussing ways of facilitating the procurement of visas and the possibility of introducing visa-free travel in the future.
The President gave instructions to the Foreign Ministry to continue active efforts to settle the situation in Iraq and to promote the road map plan in settling the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
